My competition diet doesn't change much until the last few weeks. You can see all the details, week by week, in my bikini competition prep ebook. Here's a example of what I might typically eat, with meals spaced out every 2 to 3 hours: Meal 1: 7am 5 egg whites, 1 egg yolk, scrambled - a dash of parm cheese
Pose Regularly: I started posing 12 weeks out from contest. The first 6 weeks I just did it pretty low intensity for about 15 minutes 3 times a week. The last 4 weeks I posed every night, went through all the mandatory poses twice, and posed for at least 30 minutes. This will make getting up there on Saturday a breeze.
The second part raises the intensity level and emphasizes both muscle tone and fat loss; it takes you through 10 weeks of training. The final phase is only two weeks and will get you into peak shape for showtime. Each of the phases includes a five-day split emphasizing different body parts, using a variety of equipment.
If you always wanted to look like a bikini competitor and hit the stage in a shiny posing suit but could never get in the shape for it, this article is for you. You're mistaken if you think you can get the bikini physique just by training your ass off. No matter how hard you train, you won't see results until your diet is on point.

I've read a few different blog posts by former bikini competitors "5 weeks out" posts just last night! Currently, I have been on key with my macro percentages at 40/40/20 (40p/40c/20f) but my calories differ each day because I am not following a structured diet, I am eating how I want and what I crave each day.

Extreme musculature or leanness is not encouraged and may disqualify the competitor from a bikini competition. This allows much more leeway in a competition diet compared to a fitness or bodybuilding competition diet. A basic bikini competition diet would follow this meal standard: 4 oz protein 8 oz – 16oz vegetables 8 oz carbohydrates
I am in the beginning of training for my second bikini competition. Unfortunately I fell off the wagon about 3 months after my last show and gained 10 lbs. Bikini Competition Diet Approach 2: Biofeedback & Hormones . Calories count, and calorie counting works, but it's generally not a sustainable way to stay lean. While some people may want to begin with counting calories, I prefer they progress to developing sustainable habits instead of following a diet or meal plan.
This program can be used as a competition prep program, or for anyone looking to get in shape. I started this when I was 12 weeks out from NPC nationals. I am running the same program exactly as is until I am 6 weeks out, then at 6 weeks I will change about 50 percent of the rep ranges over to 4 sets of 12.
